A few days after Christmas, we headed down to Galveston. The girls had a great time and the weather was perfect.
The first day we were there the weather was cold (40's) and rainy. We had plans to go to the Schlitterbahn waterpark. The water park in Galveston is designed to be indoors during the winter so it was great. They had a couple of hot tubs and hot water attractions outside and it was fun to rush outside in the cold rain and hop in the hot pool… then the girls would rush back inside to ride the water slides or swim in the wave pool. It really was a lot of fun and we’re planning on going again next winter!
While we were in Galveston, we also went to Moody Gardens – a huge complex with an aquarium and a simulated rain forest. The girls’ favorite part was the IMAX 4D Sponge Bob movie we all saw. I could have done without that one, but it was fun. The rest of the time in Galveston, the weather really warmed up to almost 70. Our hotel was on the beach so we hung out and collected shells. Sydnee & Skylar can’t wait to go again!
